Environmental Policy

Keith and Kathy Mashiter, owners and partners of Briar Lea Guest House, Brampton Road, Longtown, Carlisle, Cumbria. CA6 5TN. Recognise their responsibility to manage the environmental impact of their activities, products and services. In order to promote good environmental practices throughout the Company, the Policy with regard to the environment is as follows:-

1.                  To identify any effect of our activities on the environment

2.                  To develop suitable working practices to minimise any negative impact on the environment.

3.                  To comply with relevant legislation or regulation now and in the future. Updating our practises to reflect current thinking to preserve the environment.

4.                  To minimise emissions and pollutants and recycle or re-use, refuse and waste materials.

5.                  To ensure that our environmental responsibilities are defined, communicated and understood by management and staff. Appropriate training to be provided as required.

6.                  To strive for continual improvement in environmental performance.
